Hobo With A Shotgun is pretty much a massive waste of time! It is gore for gore sakes, and it's main objective is to make to viewer feel sick watching it. It consists of very extreme and unnecessary violence in an unrealistic town with a boring storyline. The reasons behind it being a postmodern film is because you need to have experienced other horror films to understand the intertextual references. This is because it tries to copy all the gore and violence from other films but take it to another extreme. However, it might not be seen as a postmodern film because some people may see it as a film that's too good at being rubbish because it can be seen as a real film.
